N ext Meeting and Kitchen Shower------ Friday, April 20

After the regular meeting the men will be busy in the kitchen preparing a "gourmet meal" for Ladies night on Sat. April 21. Meanwhile the ladies will gather in the downstairs cafeteria and have some fun at a kitchen shower for our new UCT kitchen. Sister Alice has prepared a list of items needed as follows ; wine glasses; garbage cans for the bathrooms; dishsoap; trays; tinfoil containers; dishwasher soap; handcream for ladies room; a clock; knives; water pitchers; coffee; teabags; tea towels; wash clothes; SOS pads; scouring pads etc.
In order to avoid too much duplication would you please call Sister Alice
(696-3377) to let her know what you think you might like to bring.

Financial Help for Community Projects

? $300.00 for Easter flowers for hospice patients
? $1000.00 to assist 3 NBCC students of the special education program in an student exchange program.
? $1000.00 to L'Arche to assist in a morning program.
? $250.00 to Woodlawn Alternate Learning Center to assist in annual ski trip.
? $480.00--- tickets to support the Prokids dinner fundraiser.
? $500.00 --to Junior Diabetes "Walk to Cure" fundraiser.
? $1000.00 to Homeless Women's Shelter to assist in renovating their newly expanded location.
? $295.00 to Royal Canadian Legion --1/4 page ad in Vol.. 4 of "Lest We Forget".
? $1000.00 -- $500 each to two individuals with extreme and immediate health care needs.

Condolences
Brother Doug Chase passed away on March 29,2007. He was a loyal and dedicated member of Jack Kidd Council for many years, having served as Secretary -Treasurer for over 25 years. A memorial service was held at Brenan's Funeral Home by members of council. Jack Kidd Council sends sincerest sympathy to Sister Connie, Paul and Charline , Brian and Lynn.
