• Join Hands Day

Sister Willie Pugh is once again organizing the Join Hands Day Activities. Members are asked to join with the clients at the United Catena Training Centre on Friday, May 02 to do a general clean-up of the grounds after the ravages of winter. Additional  planting and activity in early June.

• Atlantic Grand Council Sessions at Delta Brunswick, Saint John on May 08, 09, and 10Th . Supreme Counselor Diana Loafman and her husband Numan will attend. Plan to attend and enjoy the meetings and social activities. Convention Chair is Bro. Kevin McCarville. Contact Kevin at 696-3377 for info or to volunteer your help at the convention.

• UCT Ladies Night Out

Mark Saturday, May 31 on your calendar and plan to attend this event for the ladies of UCT. The program will feature a salmon dinner and a Fashion Show which will be presented by "Sandra's Fashions". Tickets are $10.00 for members and $15.00 for non-members.

Atlantic Grand Curling

Chairman Kevin McCarville reports that 20 teams participated in the bonspiel held at Thistle -St. Andrews Curling Club on March 28-30. A get- together for registration and social time started the event on Friday night and the dinner on Saturday night was delicious .Curling was also enjoyed !!!! The  "draw to the button "competition was won by Sister Judy Woodworth of Scotia council.

       Daffodil Packing & Selling for Hospice

 Several members helped pack the bunches of daffodils at HMCS Brunswicker on  March 31st and others gave their time to help sell daffodils at the McAllister Place Mall on Wed. April 2nd . Bro Doug Henderson, Chair of Cancer Comm., organized this activity to assist Hospice in their annual fundraiser.

        Auction for Catena Training Center

A large number of varied items were auctioned at Jake's Pub on Sat.,April 05 .This auction is organized by the Board and staff of the United Catena Training center. Board chairman Tom Davidson put on his auctioneers hat to encourage the bidders to help the centre with this fundraiser. Thanks to all who attended, donated items  or otherwise helped make the event successful.

Election & Installation

 New officers were elected and installed at the March 16th Annual Meeting.Bro. Wes Cosman PSC  conducted the election. Bro .Kevin McCarville PGC and Bro Wes Cosman then Installed the new officers. They were assisted by Bro.Vern McCarville PGC and Bro . Bernie Regenbogen as marshalls. 

Sister Veniene and Bro. Bernie Regenbogen were presented with their Past Counselor pins. Sister Veniene has completed 6 years on the Executive Committee and Bro. Bernie has finished 6 years on the Line .

Bro. Tom Davidson is the new Senior Counselor taking over the reigns from Bro. Brian Butler who was recognized with a standing ovation for his leadreship over the past year. Bro Tom announced his committee persons for the coming year.

The meeting was followed by a delicious pot-luck meal.
