Community Support
Recent commitments to community groups include financial donations to the following:
Atlantic Grand Convention
The Convention was held at the Delta Brunswick Hotel, Saint John, May 08-10. Starting with a "Wine & Cheese" and continuing through meetings, elections, installation and social functions, everything went along without any problems. This was a result of good planning and organization by the Convention Chair Bro. Kevin McCarville and his committee.
Supreme Counselor Diana Loafman and her husband Numan from Texas attended the convention. Diana is the first female Supreme Counselor and brings professionalism and a new outlook to the office. Following the meetings on Sat. they were taken on a tour of the Catena Training Center by Senior Counselor Tom Davidson and then joined members of Jack Kidd Council & guests in Council chambers for a wonderful meal prepared by members.
Jack Kidd Council will be ably represented on the Grand level again this year with Bro. Kevin elected to fill a vacancy as Grand Junior Counselor ; Bro. Bernie Regenbogen elected as Grand Sentinel; and Sister Alice on the Grand Exec. Comm. Bro. Jim Doucet from Moncton Council was elected Grand Counselor. Bro. Jim visited our council at the April meeting and has great energy and ideas for the coming year. Congratulations to all.
